NJ CAR Supports New Jersey Alternative Fuel Vehicle Tour

May 13, 2004

NJ CAR has teamed with the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association (NESEA) to assist with the organization’s Tour de Sol event that arrives in New Jersey and New York in a few weeks. The Tour de Sol highlights hybrid and other alternative fuel vehicles and will be making three stops in the New Jersey area in a few weeks. The tour will exhibit vehicles as part of the Burlington Days Festival at the RiverFront Promenade on Saturday, May 22nd. The next stop is a media event in front of the New Jersey State Museum on Monday, May 24th and the final stop is a visit to Lower Manhattan on Tuesday, May 25th. NJ CAR would like to thank Academy Honda, Capital City Ford, Honda of Princeton, James Toyota, and Willis Honda for providing cars, representatives or both to ensure New Jersey dealerships are well-represented at all three Tour de Sol stops. Ford, GM, Honda and Toyota are the manufacturers that will be represented. Events such as the Tour de Sol are an excellent opportunity for New Jersey dealers to help educate the public on the many “clean” vehicles currently available and soon-to-be-available in the marketplace. For more information on the Tour de Sol, please visit http://www.nesea.org/transportation/tour/.
