NJ CAR sponsored two students from the Union County Vocational-Technical High School who participated in the National Automotive Technology Competition as part of the New York International Auto Show on April 13 & 14, 2004.Dan D’Agostino and Dan Pringle, both former AYES Interns, worked with the instructor Dave Raffaele to prepare for the event. Designated “Team Audi,” both students measured, scoped and diagnosed their way through the two-day event. While their efforts were not rewarded with a first place showing, NJ CAR commends their hard work preparing for and participating in the event. NJ CAR wishes to thank Service Manager Joseph Lachina and all of the service staff at DCH Essex Audi in Maplewood for the time and knowledge they shared with our team. Hat’s off to Mark McAleer of NJ CAR for working closely with the dealership, school, students and instructors to make this a worthwhile learning experience for the kids.
