The NewJersey Auto Retailers Unite campaign has raised more than $630,000 through September 29, 2014 thanks to the more than 180 dealership and associate member participants and sponsors. NJ CAR and The Valerie Fund want to thank those participating dealerships who have already submitted their June, July and August 2014 $5 per car donation for every new and used vehicle sold. If you haven’t already submitted your payment for vehicles sold in June, July and/or August, please do so as soon as possible. Payments for the final month of the campaign are due in October.Payments should be made payable to “The Valerie Fund” and sent to 2101 Millburn Avenue, Maplewood, NJ 07040. Dancing With The Cars Gala Culminates With Two Cars Given Away
The Dancing with the Cars Gala was held on Sunday, September14, 2014. The event was filled with festivities and excitement leading up to the selection of the winners of two new cars. More than 250 individuals (including 83 sweepstakes finalists) attended the Gala, walked among the 40+ vehicles that were on display (representing more than 25 brands) and enjoyed great entertainment and food.As the Gala wound-down, all of the finalists were gathered together on the dance floor and names were chosen until only 10 names remained. Those individuals were brought to the stage and interviewed about which car they would choose, if they were selected as one of the two winners.The two Grand Prize Winners (pictured above from left to right) were Linda Drake of Lebanon, NewJersey and Lynda McLean of Matawan, New Jersey.
