The NJCAR Executive Committee, Trustees and Staff want to take this opportunity to extend our warmest greetings to all members. Despite an unprecedented number of vehicle recalls by manufacturers in 2014, the retail automotive industry continued to make great strides in bringing sales almost back to pre-recession levels. Automotive sales continued to increase in 2014 and are expected to climb again in 2015, as pent-up demand by consumers looking to replace aging vehicles and a surge of vehicles coming off lease continue to drive sales.At the New Jersey State House, NJ CAR has spent much of the last six months pushing for a vote on a Franchise Practices Act Amendments bill that will both strengthen the law for consumers and dealers, and will also put the lingering Tesla debate to rest. We look forward to a productive and prosperous year ahead.
