Three New Jersey Women Appear On Top 100 Automotive List

NJ CAR is proud to announce that three New Jersey women have been included on the 2010 Automotive News list of The 100 Leading Women in the North American Auto Industry, the third such list compiled by the publication. Marcy Maguire, CEO of Maguire Automotive Group and NADA Director for New Jersey; Mindy Holman, President and CEO of Holman Automotive Group; and Susan Scarola, Vice Chairman of DCH Automotive Group and soon to be a member of the NJ CAR Board of Trustees, are the three executives included on this prestigious list. As Keith Crain, Executive Editor of Automotive News, stated in his Commentary accompanying the special issue, female executives in the automobile industry still face unique challenges, but most have said the improvements in today’s industry have been striking. The 100 women featured in the latest issue of Automotive News, including our three from New Jersey, are at the forefront of thousands of successful women executives in the auto industry. The list includes women from a wide variety of auto industry fields of expertise, with 13 representing the retail arm. Other areas of expertise include engineering, manufacturing, marketing, finance, purchasing, information technology, human resources, design and corporate planning. The group will be celebrated at a special event on Tuesday, September 21 at the Max M. Fisher Music Center in Detroit, Michigan.
