The New Jersey Coalition of Automotive Retailers (NJ CAR) is pleased to announce Kathleen L. Graf, Esq. has recently joined the organization as Director of Legal & Regulatory Affairs. Kathleen is an attorney with years of diverse legal experience.
Prior to joining NJ CAR, Kathleen served as an associate attorney at a boutique law firm in Haddonfield, where her practice focused on representing lending institutions in a wide range of commercial financing transactions. Her experience includes real estate–secured lending, asset-based lending, development and construction lending, and government-guaranteed lending programs. Kathleen also has experience handling residential foreclosures and criminal law matters.
Kathleen earned her bachelor of arts degree from Rutgers University in 2008 and her Juris Doctorate from Elon University School of Law in 2011. She is admitted to practice law in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. Kathleen resides in Delran with her husband, Joe, their son, Remy, and their dog, Ellie.
In her new role at NJ CAR, Kathleen will be responsible for providing legal and compliance assistance to dealers concerning franchise law; taxation; motor vehicle; banking & insurance; wage & hour; employment law matters; advertising; consumer affairs; and other issues related to the operation of new car and truck dealerships. Kathleen will also be responsible for day-to-day legal matters and assist outside counsel on other matters. She will also conduct periodic online and in-person training on various legal & compliance issues confronting new car and truck dealers.
