Defined as: Title document that denotes a salvage vehicle and includes the word SALVAGE printed across the front in large diagonal letters.

Stipulations:
|
- A title will be issued by MVC upon notification by owner or insurer of a vehicle; if the was vehicle stolen and not recovered within 30 days; if the vehicle was involved in a collision or has otherwise sustained damage greater than the value of the vehicle.
- A title can be flipped into the name of a dealership or insurer at the same time the SALVAGE indicator is put on.

Required Paperwork
|
- ISM/SS-7 form Application for Certificate of Ownership used for Standard Title Issuance
- ISM/SS-61 form Application for Salvage Certificate of Title
- Original title with the NJ Sales Tax Satisfied Stamp of the dealership on the back.
- Statement from the party submitting the title as follows:
· Declare the reason for salvage status.
· Include year, make, model, and full vehicle identification number.
