Automotive Career Month Starts April 1, 2007

Mar 30, 2007

Automotive Career Month, sponsored by the National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA), is a great time to join dealerships from across the country to promote and participate in a nationwide job fair. This year’s Career Month is being held in April and provides a great opportunity to showcase the many rewarding careers available in a retail automotive dealership. It is also a nationally recognized way to reach a new pool of potential talent—students interested in learning more about the industry. Participating in Automotive Career Month activities can also boost a dealership’s professional image as an involved member of the local community.

Students are invited, through their high schools, to attend an event at dealerships around the country. NADA makes it easy for dealerships to participate with its FREE 2007 Automotive Career Month kit. There are also several video kits available for a nominal price. The FREE kit contains:

¨ Sample letters to school principals, guidance counselors, local media, etc.

¨ Sample event agenda.

¨ Two Automotive Career Month posters with room for your dealership information (more can be ordered).

¨ Student brochuresample (quantities can be ordered).

¨ A press release and scripts for public service announcements.

You can order kits or videos by calling NADA Management Education at 703.821.7227. You can also find information regarding Automotive Career Month events at: http://www.nada.org/Advocacy+Outreach/Auto+Career+Resources/.
