NJ CAR’s Internet Sales Seminar A Tremendous Success

Jun 22, 2004

Nearly 100 participants traveled to The Marriott Courtyard in Cranbury, NJ to learn how to better utilize the Internet as a tool for educating consumers, generating leads and even selling vehicles before someone has set foot in a showroom. The full-day seminar, entitled “Unlock Your Internet Profit Center,” was well-received by the attendees. David Kain, former COO of FordDirect.com and recognized expert in the automotive Internet sales field, led the training program. His program included insight into how to increase sales volume, how to reach customers through email communication, how to make the dealership’s website a more valuable sales tool without spending a ton of money. Our other featured panelists included Chip Perry, CEO of AutoTrader.com, an Internet lead generator, and Jeff Bonnell, President and CEO of MJMI, a website and lead management system developer. Both Chip and Jeff discussed tips on how to develop, manage and follow-up on potential leads from car buyers. The seminar focused on the basics to develop and maintain a robust Internet presence that will improve the bottom line of your dealership.Judging by some of the feedback received, many attendees would be very interested in a follow-up seminar that addresses more advanced web-based activities to take full-advantage of constantly evolving online technology. NJ CAR thanks David Kain, Chip Perry and Jeff Bonnell for participating in this informative seminar.
