It is with deep sadness and a sense of loss that we report the passing of Michael Kardon, a former member of the NJ CAR Board of Trustees and Executive Committee who passed away on September 3. He is survived by his daughter, Lexie Kardon and his son and daughter-in-law, Martin and Cynthia Kardon, his brother, Ken, his sister-in-law Barbara Kardon, his former wife, Carol, and four grandchildren.
Michael Kardon was the owner of Toyota of Runnemede. Mr. Kardon was one of the first dealers to combine multiple franchises at the same location. Early in his career, he turned a small, South Jersey Chevrolet dealership into Kardon Auto Mall which, at its height, included Chevrolet, Lincoln, Mercury, Oldsmobile, AMC, Jeep, Renault and Isuzu franchises.
