It is with a sense of sadness and loss that we report the passing of Donald William “Bill” Brunner, who died on July 2 in Fairfield, New Jersey at the age of 91. Mr. Brunner was co-owner of C.T. Brunner and Sons in Verona, at one time the oldest family-owned Chrysler-Plymouth dealership in the nation.  He graduated from Grover Cleveland High School, attended the Casey Jones School of Aeronautics and served in the U.S. Navy as Seaman First Class. He is the father of William R. Brunner, a past Chairman of NJ CAR and a member of its Executive Committee and Board of Trustees.

Mr. Brunner is survived by his wife, Laurie (nee Gay) Brunner, children Kathleen Prager, Susan Van Dyke, MD (Chuck Freidman, Esq.), William R. Brunner, Esq. (Susan Gardner Brunner), and Robert E. Brunner, in addition to 13 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
