NADA Asks “Women In Automotive” To Record (And Share) A Brief Video Discussing Their Careers

Jan 04, 2019

Deadline For Submissions Is January 24, 2019

The National Automobile Dealers Association (NADA) recently launched its 2019 “Women In Automotive” video competition. NADA and NJ CAR encourage women in ALL dealership positions to highlight the many accomplishments and opportunities for women in auto retailing by recording and sharing a brief video to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and/or Instagram (along with the hashtag #WomenInAutomotive) by January 24, 2019.

Right now, women make up approximately 19% of the auto retailing industry. NJ CAR is proud of the significant and growing number of women in New Jersey who are part of the industry, but that number needs to grow. There is no better way to encourage more women to consider careers in auto retailing than for women to tell others about their automotive retailing path. Why did you choose a career in auto retailing? How have you grown professionally? What advice would you give to other women looking to pursue similar careers? What benefits have you found working in the dealership setting?

Tell YOUR story. Record and share your video to Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and/or Instagram by January 24, 2019. Remember, New Jersey’s own Lee Bobowicz, a Controller at Manahawkin Kia, was chosen as one of the competition’s ten winners in last year’s inaugural contest. You can see her winning video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pmo6A_ktlUg.

If you choose to participate, please forward a link of your video to Brian Hughes, Director of Communications, at [email protected] so we can share your “Women In Automotive” video submission to our social media channels as well.

NADA will share their favorites and pick the 10 best submissions leading up to the NADA Show in San Francisco, January 24-27, 2019.
