Most Consumers Say New Auto Salespeople Are Respectful

A 2004 survey conducted by Automotive Retailing Today (ART) illustrates that the prevailing image of automotive sales professionals contradicts the positive experiences most car buyers have when purchasing a new vehicle. ART surveyed 887 new vehicle buyers, 147 car shoppers, and 630 general consumers for their opinions about the automotive profession.An overwhelming majority of respondents, 95% to be precise, feel that salespeople are respectful, professional and reasonable in their dealings.The results were consistent regardless of the respondent’s ethnicity.
