In Memoriam- George Wall, IV

It is with deep sadness and a sense of loss that we report the passing of George Wall, IV, who served on the New Jersey Coalition of Automotive Retailers Board of Trustees and is the father of current Board Member Jeff Wall. George passed away at his home on March 23, 2016.

George, 85, was born in Passaic, and graduated from Teaneck High School in 1948 and Muhlenberg College in 1952. He also served in the Army, completing his service in 1955. George worked his way up in the automotive retailing business, eventually founding George Wall Lincoln Mercury in 1968, where he served as President until his retirement in 2001. During his career, George was a board member and past Chairman of the Lincoln Mercury Dealer Association, and participated in the National Dealer Council.

George was a life-long golfer, member of the Manasquan River Golf Club in Brielle and The Legacy Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Florida. He served on the Brielle Board of Education and the Brielle Planning Board

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Carole; sons, George and Jeffrey; daughter Susan; ten grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many family and friends.
