Analysts Increase Sales Forecast to 17.4 Million SAAR for 2015

According to Kelly Blue Book, U.S. new vehicle sales increased nearly 12% to a total of 1.43 million units in October 2015, compared to October 2014, making this the highest October sales since 2001. The increase in sales equates to a 17.9 million seasonally adjusted annual rate (SAAR) for the month. Kelly Blue Book also increased its year-end SAAR forecast to 17.4 million due to the continued high demand for new vehicles.National unemployment approaching 5% and fuel prices at six-year lows are some of the economic factors driving the continued increase in auto sales.
