NJ CAR Flood Update, Wednesday, April 6th

Apr 06, 2005

Cleanup in the aftermath of flooding at NJ CAR’s Motor Vehicle Operation is progressing well. Significant electrical damage and several inches of mud (both inside and out!) continue to prevent us from processing Motor Vehicle work. There will be no pick up or delivery of Motor Vehicle work at scheduled locations today, Wednesday, April 6th. As soon as the building is inspected and deemed safe for occupancy, normal business will resume. In optimistic anticipation of a ossible reopening on Monday, April 11th, the MV staff is gathering at an alternate facility to prepare documents for processing. Work that was picked up by the courier on Friday, April 1st, will be given priority attention as soon as the operation is up and running again. Updates will continue to be released daily. The AADI Courier will resume pick up of Motor Vehicle work beginning tomorrow, Thursday, April 7th. Although NJ CAR cannot guarantee return of all processed work on the next scheduled delivery date, we will process and return batches of work in the order they are received. It is in the customer and dealership’s best interest to process all possible transactions in-house if the dealership utilizes the triVIN or CVR Online Registration system. NOTE: The Title Clerk Training and Certification Seminar on Thursday, April 7th, will take place as scheduled. If you have registered and require directions to the location, please call 609-883-5056 Ext. 384.
