Mar 30, 2005

The Battleship New Jersey Museum & Memorial sits docked along the Camden waterfront. In an effort to raise funds to help maintain the memorial, the Motor Vehicle Commission will, again, make available Battleship New Jersey license plates. The Museum is asking NJ CAR and dealerships around the State to promote the availability of these license plates to car-buying customers by displaying a small poster that highlights the license plates. Jack Willard at the Battleship New Jersey Museum & Memorial is also open to discussing creative programs and incentives that can benefit both dealerships and the Museum. If you would like copies of the poster or have any questions regarding possible incentive programs, you can contact Jack at j.willard@battleship newjersey.org or at 856.966.1652, ext. 144, with your dealership name, a contact name and phone number. The 887-foot Battleship New Jersey is one of the largest battleships ever built. The 45,000-ton ship was launched in December 1942 and served in World War II, Korea, Vietnam and Lebanon. The ship was decommissioned in 1991 and arrived at its Delaware River dock in November 1999.
