NJ CAR would like to congratulate Mel Parekh, President and Owner of Princeton Chevrolet, who was featured in the Automotive News’ 40 Under 40 list of up-and-comers in the automotive retailing industry. Mel was selected from several hundred candidates nominated and is the only NewJersey retailer on this year’s list. Automotive News staff reviewed career information supplied by the nominees and created its 40 Under 40 list.Mel purchased Princeton Chevrolet in October 2012, but has owned and operated a dealership in Virginia for the past 13 years. He has been part of the auto retailing industry since the age of 10, when he began washing cars at his father’s dealerships in Detroit and Chicago. By the age of 16, he was selling cars after school.
