It has come to NJ CAR’s attention that a Florida-based company called infolook Inc. has been mailing a $364.95 “invoice” for a “web listing” on their online service.The letter is a “false invoice” or solicitation to sign up for the service. The invoice includes a customer number, as well as telephone and e-mail customer service contact information that makes the letter appear as if the service has already been ordered by a dealership employee. NJ CAR recommends utilizing purchase order numbers for any product or service ordered by your facility.That way, every incoming invoice can be matched with a purchase order number to ensure the validity of the requested payment.
