NJ CAR-Sponsored Team Competes At National Level

Two students from Passaic County Technical Institute, Mark Napolitano and Marcos Juarez, participated in the National Automotive Technology Competition at New York City’s Jacob Javitz Center on April 13-15, 2009.Designated “Team Pontiac,” the competitors measured, scoped, and diagnosed their way through the three-day event. While their efforts were not rewarded with a Top-Ten finish, NJCAR commends their achievements on our behalf. The Coalition also wishes to thank Renee McGuire and Service Manager Ken Fischer of McGuire Buick Pontiac GMC for making a 2009 Pontiac G6 available to the school for the students to hone their diagnostic skills prior to the event.NJ CAR hopes all dealers will continue to support automotive education and, in particular, the AYES Program.
