Jun 22, 2007

Mary Jane Salvato of Colonial Motors in Somerville was once again the Competition Coordinator for the NewJersey SkillsUSA competition, which was held recently in Somerset County. Automotive Technology students from vocational schools all over the State tested their skills and knowledge of automotive repair at the competition.

The Gold Medalist for this year’s competition was Matt Kemner of the Camden County Technical School in Sicklerville. Matthew will next compete at the SkillsUSA National Competition held in Kansas City later this month. The Silver Medal was awarded to David Boscola from Vineland Senior High School. This year, there was also a Post-Secondary Gold Medalist, William Mongold from the Ocean County Vocational School’s college-level program at the Jackson Campus.

These young men represent the “best of the best” student technicians hoping to enter our industry. NJCAR would like to acknowledge the efforts of Mary Jane Salvato and her team in putting together this important event, and congratulate Matt, Dave and William on their outstanding performance. Good luck in Kansas City!
